Michael has had a passion for the practice of yoga since his very first hatha class in 2000 following graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree. After working in the field for about 7 years his heart told him it was time to embark on a new journey. Trusting his heart and inner guidance he has embarked on a 10+ year journey of conscious self and inner discovery. Growing up in a spiritual and metaphysical household, the practice of inner work and exploring ones self has been 2nd nature. In 2007 following his resignation from the corporate world Kundalini Yoga came into his life and has been one of his go to spiritual and mind/body practices. This beautiful practice has been a staple through the tapestry of powerful changes in his life. Particularly he has found these practices incredibly supportive to keeping the connection with his soul and truth through navigating constant big change. After many years of practice both with a teacher and on his own the door opened for him to complete the KRI (Kundalini Research Institute) 200hr teacher training program in early 2017 and is currently working toward the 500hr. He is excited to share these teachings with others as well as continue to support clients through his private soul coaching practice.
Christina Gerdes was introduced to yoga in the early 90’s as a teenager and continued to do yoga throughout college and beyond until in 2003 she began Five Elements School of Yoga’s yoga teacher training to further her own practice. During the 8-month training, she fell in love with teaching. She has taught at multiple studios throughout the Southeast and West Coast, has been a member of Yoga Alliance since 2006, attended the first Symposium of Yoga Therapy and Research sponsored by the International Association of Yoga Therapists in LA, and has taken many continuing education workshops. In 2014 she released an Open Heart Yoga 6-Disc DVD set of yoga classes for beginners to intermediate students. She also completed her first 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification through Asheville Yoga Center that same year. Christina will complete her second 500 hour training with Gary Kraftsow and Viniyoga Foundations for Teaching and Yoga Therapy Fall of 2019. Christina tries to create a fun, peaceful and accepting environment where students can practice yoga and have the confidence to take it off the mat. She believes yoga is a way of life and that there is a style of yoga that suits each student, and she tries to create a class that is “flexible” for all. Facebook Page

Cynthia began studying yoga and meditation from a young age but in 2000 a seed was planted with a yoga book and VHS tape by Gurmukh. However, it wasn't until 2011 that she found herself at Kashi Ashram in Sebastian, Florida for her first 200 hour teacher training. At Kashi she studied Kali Natha Tantric Yoga at the feet of Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati. This was also the time that she began to formally train with KRI teachers and was introduced to Sat Nam Rasayan. Her SNR classes took her to Guru Ram Das Ashram in 2012 to attend a training workshop with Guru Dev Singh Khalsa, Master of Sat Nam Rasayan. In 2016 Cynthia became a Level One Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor through the Kundalini Research Institute. Over the past 20+ years she had been working in the field of energy healing and massage therapy, beginning her healing arts career as a Reiki Practitioner in college. Semi-retiring as an LMT in 2017, she decided to study Radiant Child Yoga with Shakta Kaur Khalsa which actually sparked a deeper interest in working with the elderly. Since 2018 Cynthia has been an Activity Professional at a long term care and rehab facility with a focus in dementia care. Now taking KRI Level Two Teacher Training she is grateful for the opportunity to deepen her own yoga practice while serving others.

Trish attended her first yoga class in March 2015 and was immediately drawn to the Kundalini Yoga practice. She experienced many benefits from the yoga practice including a deep level of healing that was unknown to her up until that point. Her desire is that everyone have the opportunity to learn how to incorporate (even the smallest amount of) yoga into everyday life. Yoga is a toolset that supports one finding a deeper level of stillness. She believes that it is through this stillness that we as a human can have more awareness of how beautiful we truly are. In Mid-2018, Trish completed her 200hr Level 1 certification with the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI). Trish is excited to share these teachings of Kundalini yoga at Knoxville Kundalini Yoga Center and beyond. She is also a Certified Spiritual/Life Coach plus hold certifications from Edgar Cacey’s A.R.E. foundation in Past Life Regression (PLR) and Altered State Wellness Center in Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT), Level III Reiki. www.trishcrowley.com
